Joie de Vegan (JdV), a bakery in Durham, NC, creates delicious, animal-free, wheat-free, mainly organic desserts using local, eco-friendly ingredients & packaging. JdV caters to special diets such as wheat-free and gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, low-glycemic, low-fructans, and individuals with food allergies. JdV supports local suppliers, farmers, vegan events and restaurants, and other visionary and community-minded food entrepreneurs and bakers. Joie de Vegan gives 5%+ of profits to SEEDS and Urban Ministries of Durham. JdV offers menu planning consultations for the above diets and can work with you to create custom desserts for special events. We don’t offer wedding cakes, but we will make cupcakes for your wedding!

Chez Voisin is a family catering enterprise that creates authentic french apple tartes from scratch. We are planning to develop some new products and frozen tarte kits to sell to restaurants and individual customers. Fruit leathers, trail mixes, and bagel spreads are also in the works. Our full line of products may include apple | pear | and nectarine fruits. We are also developing an all organic North Carolina ingredient policy and will be looking into special dietary need solutions.
